How We Test
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This page sets out how 40-burninghot.com checks what it publishes about 40 Burning Hot. The goal is figures you can rely on, written independently and based on the game itself and on dependable sources.
How a review is built
We play the game and read its in-game information, then compare what we find with the provider's own material where it exists. The review concentrates on what matters once you sit down to play: how wins form, RTP, volatility, the features and the betting options.
What we check
- Reels and paylines. The 5×4 layout, the 40 fixed lines and how a winning combination is counted.
- RTP and volatility. The values the game shows or the provider publishes, noting that an operator may run a different RTP setting.
- Paytable. Every symbol value, the Wild and Scatter rules and the combinations that pay.
- Features. The Expanding Clover Wild, the two Scatters, the Gamble screen and the Jackpot Cards progressive, observed in play and described as they behave.
- Bets and settings. The stake range and the game settings that shape a session.
- Mobile. How the game and its controls work in a phone browser.
Checking in the game
Wherever we can, we confirm a figure in the game interface instead of taking it from elsewhere. The screenshots in the review were captured this way, to show the features and the paytable we checked.
We do not assemble a review from material copied off other websites.
Sources
The provider's official information is our main outside source for specifications, next to what the game itself displays. When something cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than present a guess as fact.
Independence
Reviews are written independently. Some buttons on this site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when a visitor registers or plays through one. That does not decide what the review says about the game.
Updates
Games and their settings change. When a specification or a feature changes, we update the review. The date at the top of this page shows when this method was last revised.
